What is the difference between normal coaching adaptation and a formal reasonable adjustment?

Modified on Thu, 2 Jul at 11:00 PM

Normal coaching adaptation includes things Coaches may do as part of good coaching, such as repeating instructions, demonstrating a skill, giving processing time, using clear language, offering encouragement or adapting a task safely within normal Class delivery.

A formal reasonable adjustment request is needed where the request involves an ongoing or guaranteed arrangement, a change to AAAsports rules, additional staff time, a change to safeguarding or Health & Safety arrangements, a change to access or observation arrangements, or something outside normal Class delivery because of a disability, diagnosis, medical need, sensory need or additional support need.
