In reply to the other question about just the Newcastle comps I also think for cubs (who I assume just do Newcastle ones) and I also think wild should also just do Newcastle ones there’s quite a few Newcastle ones anyway that I know other cheerleading teams attend I think it would make wild so much stronger as a team and will have more practice throughout the year between competitions which I think is needed.

So I’m all for just Newcastle comps for wild aswell if that is something that can be considered I understand the older group and the international group competing away but I think wild and cubs should stay locally (9th April 2026)

It wouldn’t be right for us to commit to a ’non-travelling’ team next season at this point, as many of the Members of Wild really value their chance to compete away from home and the opportunities that this creates.  Equally, many of our Cubs Members are keen to be given the opportunity to perform away!

It is also important to consider that routines are set based on a number of factors including both age and level, so we need to make sure that we have a suitable offering for all of our Members before committing to any plans for next season.  This is especially important that many of our Members are actually wanting to increase the number of competitions they take part in, not reduce them!

However, please rest assured that we have received your feedback and this will be considered but at this point definitely isn’t confirmed.  As always, full details of competition plans will be released at the same time as Squad offers for 2026/27 so parents can determine if their offer suits their commitments.
