Why am I being charged an AAAsports Membership fee if I already have a British Gymnastics (BG) membership elsewhere?

The fee you pay to AAAsports is not solely for a British Gymnastics membership. Instead, it is an AAAsports Membership fee that allows you to access our classes and programmes. As part of this membership, if a BG membership or insurance is required for the activities you choose, we will arrange it on your behalf.

If you already have a BG membership from another provider, our AAAsports Membership fee remains the same. This is because the fee is for joining and participating in AAAsports programmes as a whole, not just for BG membership. It’s similar to joining a health club that provides a range of services under one membership fee. Even if you have similar coverage or services elsewhere, the cost of your health club membership doesn’t change, as it covers their offerings in their entirety.

Additionally, if you later decide to participate in more advanced classes that require an upgraded level of BG membership, we’ll handle any necessary upgrades as part of your AAAsports Membership—without any additional charges (exceptions apply for AAAsports Squads). This ensures that all AAAsports members remain fully covered for the activities they undertake through AAAsports.
